What you pay, and what you get.

The equipment3
Is yours to keep
“Equipment is owned after 12 monthly payments,” says Tempo’s shop. Confirm how this applies to your checkout method.

Cost and billing
Do I pay for the hardware and a membership?
Usually both. Website hardware bundles have included 12 months of training membership; after that, training renews monthly or prepaid. Exact billing depends on the offer, so confirm it at checkout.
What happens after the first 12 months?
Tempo’s membership FAQ lists $39 a month, or a prepaid $420 for 12 months or $720 for 24 months, plus tax. Tempo’s shop also says bundle equipment is owned after 12 monthly payments.
Phones, watches and screens
Does Tempo work with Android?
Not with Core or Move: they connect through a supported iPhone. Tempo documents a separate Android class experience on listed Pixel and Samsung phones, cast with Chromecast, with a subset of tracking and app features.
Is Apple Watch supported?
It depends what you need. Workouts in Tempo’s Apple Watch app are documented as Studio-only (watchOS 10 and iOS 17 at that revision). Syncing with Apple Health is a separate feature, and other heart-rate monitors pair differently by device.
Weights and space
Can I use my own dumbbells?
On supported iOS, yes. Automatic weight recognition only works with Tempo’s own weights in documented combinations, so you’d adjust the weight by hand.
Which weights does Tempo recognise?
Tempo-branded dumbbells and plates in documented combinations. Not barbells, kettlebells, plates over 10 lb or other brands, and not changes you make mid-set.
How much space do I need?
Tempo lists a 6 × 6 ft workout area for Move, which has a 22 × 13.5 × 13.5 in cabinet. Studio is a larger freestanding unit; its current dimensions need confirming.
Training and tracking
Does it give form feedback on every exercise?
No. On supported exercises Tempo Vision counts reps, shows range of motion and gives occasional form cues. It can miss or double-count a rep, and it needs a clear view and decent light.
Can more than one person use it?
A membership supports up to six profiles per household, each with its own workout history.
Is the body scan a medical measurement?
No. It estimates body-fat percentage, lean mass, circumferences and waist-to-hip ratio from an iPhone scan so you can follow trends. It isn’t a diagnosis.
Trials, returns and cancelling
What happens to the equipment and my history if I stop the membership?
We couldn’t confirm this from Tempo’s public pages. It needs an answer from Tempo before launch.
Can I return the hardware?
Tempo’s terms reference a 30-day window for eligible hardware orders, with conditions. Check the official returns policy for your order.
Is there a free trial?
Tempo’s June 2026 terms mention a 14-day trial for digital-only membership. Whether it’s offered today needs confirming.
What we couldn’t confirm.
Public pages didn’t answer these. They need Tempo’s answer before launch.
